Gorrie-Regan was founded in 1959 by M. J. Gorrie as a solutions provider featuring service to mechanical time keeping devices.
Mr. Gorrie served as the National Sales Vice President for IBM’s Time recorder Division. Although they enjoyed an 80% market share, IBM sold the business to Simplex to further concentrate on its burgeoning computer technologies. Mr. Gorrie was asked to lead the Simplex time recorder effort and was also offered a similar position with IBM. Instead he formed an organization offering the former IBM customers an independent service solution across the Southeastern United Sates.
In 1964, Charles W. Regan Sr. joined the effort and Gorrie-Regan was established. Since those first days, our product offerings continue to grow, but our dedication to excellent service will continue to remain a trademark. Our philosophy is that the company performing the best service will ultimately win the sales race.
